Wii Brawl

by Colby Johnson

Super Smash Bros Brawl: a simple yet complicated game. Being the third game in a series, the first being for the Nintendo 64 and the second for the GameCube. Many people had high expectations for Nintendo to make Brawl the best game in the series, and that expectation was met.

By simplifying the control system and allowing gamers to use the GameCube controller, it helps experienced players adapt, and new players easily learn to play. They also added a 'final smash' system which can change the outcome of the game drastically. It allows gamers to use a super powerful attack that can kill one or all other players in an instant.

While many may think that most Wii games have average graphics and don't seem any better than the GameCube, Brawl isn't one of those games. Its 3D environments and characters add to the chaos, while also allowing gamers to see the stages better. Brawl has a wide variety of characters gamers can choose (up to 35). Ranging from a heavy hitter like Ganondorf or someone who is fast like Sonic. Since Nintendo added many more characters, people have a higher chance of choosing a character they like.

This time around, there are at least 42 different stages to choose from, and that is not including the 'build-a-stage' function. So be sure to experiment and create many stages. All in all, this game is highly recommended for all people who have a Wii.
